beef and mushroom quiche


  • 1 9" frozen pastry shell, thawed
  • 1 2.25 oz. jar or pouch ARMOUR® STAR SLICED DRIED BEEF, rinsed and chopped
  • 3/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/3 cup onion, diced
  • 3 tbsp. margarine
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne


  1. Bake the pastry shell according to package directions. In a skillet, sauté the beef, mushrooms and onion in margarine for 10 minutes. Spread into the bottom of the pastry shell. Mix the flour and cheese together and sprinkle over beef mixture. Mix together the eggs, milk and cayenne and pour into pastry shell. Bake in a 300oF oven for 35-40 minutes or until middle is set.
